Job summary

Google Beam seeks a Staff Technical Program Manager, Release Operations Manager, to drive maturation of software across multiple stacks and form factors. You will own validation, testing, and timely releases while balancing resourcing costs and external partner relationships.

As Stability and Release Manager, you will oversee software delivery and collaborate with OEMs and co-development partners, shaping quality and delivery across multiple environments.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in program management.
5 years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
Experience testing software on custom hardware.
Experience with OS and applications software release management.

Preferred qualifications:

8 years of experience managing cross-functional or team projects.
Experience scaling a custom hardware and software integrated product.
Experience managing vendors and individuals who manage vendors.
Experience maintaining working relationships with external partners (e.g., OEMs, software co-development).
Experience with quality assurance (QA) and automated testing.

About the job

As the Stability and Release Manager for Beam, you will drive the maturation of our product’s software, ensuring a high-quality experience before it reaches our end users. Leveraging your expertise in both OS and applications software, you will oversee timely, consistent releases across multiple software stacks and form factors. You will be responsible for the validation and testing of our software experience, maintaining our rigorous quality bar while effectively balancing resourcing costs. Your scope will include optimizing our on-the-ground fleet efforts and owning critical software delivery relationships with external OEMs and co-development partners to unlock seamless product development and delivery.

US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
