Job summary

Neurophos, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer to own calibration architecture and verification for a photonics-based OVMM engine in Austin. You will craft calibration algorithms, specify analog/digital hardware interfaces, and drive lab characterization from concept to working silicon.

The role blends control theory, signal processing, and hands-on lab work, with opportunities to advance optical transceiver calibration and system integration across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years in calibration algorithm development, bring-up, or verification of complex electro-optic systems.
• Strong background in control theory and optimization.
• Experience with analog/mixed-signal impairments and calibration hardware.

Responsibilities

• Define calibration architecture and algorithms for OVMM system.
• Design and optimize calibration loops to minimize time while meeting accuracy targets.
• Develop calibration data compression and hardware/software interfaces.
• Lead lab bring-up, verification, and observability plans.
• Mentor engineers in calibration methodology.
