Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to join our Whiteman AFB team. You will lead avionics integration, system design, and lifecycle support for critical aircraft programs.

You’ll interface with Program Managers and USAF customers, coordinate with engineering teams, and ensure thorough requirements verification and documentation. A Secret clearance is required; travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a STEM field with extensive related experience.
• Experience with avionics systems integration and USAF platforms (aircraft).
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; SAP clearance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Program Managers, SPO Customers, and maintenance stakeholders to define solutions.
• Coordinate with avionics and vehicle engineering on system design and aircraft layout.
• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning, and interface control.
• Identify issues with technical approaches and collaborate with stakeholders in solutions.
• Provide on-site engineering representation at Whiteman AFB.
• Document key requirements, interface control documents, and technical reports.
• Ensure requirements implementation aligns with stakeholder intent.
