Job summary

Vantor, based in Westminster, CO, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Spacewrx team. You will contribute to the Mission Control System for our constellation of earth observation satellites, with a hybrid work model (remote two days a week; in-office Tue–Thu).

As part of an agile scrum team, you will develop cloud-based ground system software, ensure on-schedule high-quality code, and document demonstrations and test results while collaborating with engineers, product owners, and

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years software development of complex software systems.
• Expertise with Python for webservices (django) and scripting.
• Expertise in Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CENTOS/AL3).
• Expertise with API concepts like REST/JSON/YAML.
• Experience with test automation languages/frameworks: Cucumber, Gherkin, Behave.

Responsibilities

• Software design and development of operational code of new features and defect repairs.
• Develop automated unit, functional, and integration tests.
• Demonstration and documentation of functionality and test results.
• Troubleshoot operational issues.
• Support deadlines and communicate issues/results.
• Participate in Communities of Practice for adherence and improvement of best practices.
