Job summary

Vantor seeks a Principal Satellite Systems Engineer for the SpaceWRX team in Westminster, CO to lead end-to-end space projects, from customer needs to design, development and delivery of advanced Earth observation systems.

You will oversee vendor interactions, write SOWs, review design reviews and test plans, and evaluate vendor responses. Must be a U.S. citizen with 6–12 years in aerospace systems engineering and LEO environment experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• 6–12 years of experience in aerospace systems engineering.
• End-to-end aerospace program system engineering from architecture to on-orbit operations.
• Experience designing and qualifying hardware and software for LEO environments (structural, thermal, radiation, EMI/EMC).

Responsibilities

• Lead vendor interactions for satellite bus procurement with a small team of aerospace experts.
• Write and oversee execution of statements of work and bus requirements.
• Review ICDs and payload integration/test plans.
• Review vendor-submitted processes, design reviews, analysis packages, and test reports to verify mission requirements.
• Conduct and evaluate responses to RFIs and RFPs with satellite component vendors.
