Job summary

Vantor is hiring a Principal Satellite Systems Engineer to lead the SpaceWRX team from customer needs through design, development, and delivery of earth observation systems. The role is based in Westminster, CO, with a focus on end-to-end aerospace program system engineering and vendor management.

You will oversee bus procurement, drive SOWs and requirements, review ICDs and test plans, and manage vendor interactions to ensure mission success. A TS/SCI clearance is a potential requirement.

Qualifications

• End-to-end aerospace program system engineering from architecture through I&T to on-orbit operations.
• Experience designing and qualifying hardware and software for LEO space environments (structural, thermal, radiation, EMI/EMC).
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead vendor interactions for satellite bus procurement and reviews.
• Draft and oversee statements of work and bus requirements.
• Review ICDs, payload integration and test plans.
• Evaluate vendor test reports to confirm mission requirements.
• Coordinate RFIs and RFP responses with satellite component vendors.
