Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Staff Supplier Engineer to design, develop, and validate manufacturing solutions for direct material components and assemblies. You will work with suppliers to scale up processes for production, ensuring robust design transfer and manufacturing readiness for the next generation Robotic & Digital Solutions products.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 7+ years in a regulated environment, and knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

BS degree in engineering is required.
7+ years of experience in a regulated industry (medical device preferred).
Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings is expected.

Responsibilities

Own and deliver development, characterization, and validation of plastics components and sub-assembly processes at suppliers for new product development and sustaining production.
Lead scale-up of supplier manufacturing processes to production quantities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing, product performance, and cost targets are met.
Drive supplier excellence using Six Sigma, Lean, SPC and root-cause analysis.
