Job summary
Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to lead design efforts on diverse projects including power, facilities, healthcare and government sectors in Greenville, SC. You will work with project teams through design and construction, adapting structural plans to meet budget and client needs.
The role requires a solid background in structural engineering, strong communication, and proficiency with design software.
Qualifications
- Degree requirements and FE prerequisites as stated.
- EIT preferred; FE exam completion favored.
- ABET accreditation and relevant field experience required.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design from concept to design completion.
- Review production drawings for a wide range of facilities.
- Design structural components per project needs and manager guidance.
- Apply knowledge of standard engineering practices and codes.
- Research and compile project data for managers.
- Update drawings in CAD software to reflect corrections.
- Prepare information for client presentations and contract administration.
- Conduct field inspections and measurements for clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow all policies and standards.
