Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer with environmental expertise to join our Environmental Services Global Practice in Greenville, SC. You will lead or support a broad range of civil/environmental designs for projects including transmission, water, and energy facilities.

The role requires coordination of multi-disciplinary teams and strong client communication. The successful candidate will mentor staff, manage scope and budgets, and contribute to department strategy and culture.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related degree.
• Master's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• FE or EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support civil/environmental engineering designs for diverse projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across design and construction phases.
• Prepare design criteria, technical letters, reports and cost estimates.
• Direct and review work of junior staff.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule and quality.
• Engage with clients, regulators and marketing meetings.
• Champion QA/QC procedures and internal training.
