Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead validation strategy for enterprise SSD firmware. You will architect next-generation test frameworks, drive AI/ML-powered validation, and own end-to-end verification of NVMe front-end features across multiple product lines.

You will mentor engineers, influence firmware architecture decisions, and shape the strategic direction of our test infrastructure across simulation, FPGA, and prototype hardware environments.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python and ML framework experience with production automation.
• Strong test architecture, validation methodologies, and scalable solutions.
• Experience applying ML models to test optimization or failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification design and execution for firmware features across product lines.
• Architect scalable grey-box, white-box, and black-box test frameworks.
• Drive root-cause analysis and systematic debugging practices.
• Own the firmware test infra roadmap including automation and CI/CD.
• Design AI/ML solutions for test optimization and anomaly detection.
• Lead code reviews and maintain high-quality test code.
• Present findings and risk assessments to senior leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
