Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Staff SSD Firmware Test Engineer to lead validation strategy for enterprise SSD firmware.

You will architect next-generation test frameworks, drive AI/ML-powered validation methodologies, and own end-to-end verification of complex NVMe front-end features across multiple product lines. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 8+ years, Masters 6+ years, or PhD 4+ years in relevant field.
• Expert Python, strong NumPy/pandas/scikit-learn, production automation experience.
• Deep expertise in test architecture, automation strategy, validation methodologies.
• Experience applying ML models to test optimization or failure analysis.
• Ability to lead initiatives and influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead firmware verification strategies for NVMe front-end features across product lines.
• Architect scalable grey/white/black-box test frameworks and standards.
• Drive root-cause analysis for field/regression failures with systematic debug methods.
• Own test infrastructure roadmap, including automation, CI/CD, and dashboards.
• Design and deploy AI/ML solutions for test optimization and anomaly detection.
• Mentor engineers and present findings to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with firmware architects, product managers, and customers on testability.
