Job summary

Mosaic.tech in Mountain View, CA is hiring a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain the SCS platform on a scalable, distributed system. You will work with Java, Golang, and Python and contribute to end-to-end software integrity across builds and deployments.

We seek 7–11 years of experience building scalable applications, strong API design skills (REST/GRPC/GraphQL), and a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 7–11 years of experience building scalable distributed applications in Java and Golang.
• Experience designing REST, GRPC and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
• Solid data structures, algorithms and debugging skills.
• SAAS platform development experience at scale.
• Cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) familiarity is a plus.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable platform software in a fast-paced environment.
• Author specifications and design documents for software components.
• Own key system pieces and ensure delivered quality.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex distributed systems issues.
• Set best practices for quality, performance and architecture.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Review specifications, designs and code; identify technical debt and scaling issues.
