Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to sit at the intersection of software development and site reliability, building and operating large-scale systems that are secure, fault-tolerant, performant, and highly available.

This role blends software engineering with infrastructure responsibilities across Identity's cloud-native microservices on Kubernetes and AWS/GCP, emphasizing observability, automation, and resiliency.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering for high-scale distributed systems in cloud-native AWS/GCP.
• Experience using AI to build tools for operations is a plus.
• Proficient in Python, Java, Go or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate large-scale, secure, fault-tolerant systems in AWS/GCP and Kubernetes.
• Build self-healing tooling and observability components to detect and isolate issues.
• Lead incident management and RCA to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across Architecture, Product, and Operations to improve resilience.
