Job summary

Remitian is seeking a staff-level Staff Software Engineer for the Payments team to own money-movement systems across tax obligations and ledger records. You will shape design, guidance, and code that scales with growth, collaborating with the team leads and engineers to raise the bar on reliability.

Based in Florida with a hybrid schedule (3–4 days in office), you will lead end-to-end workflows, integrate banking partners, and champion security and observability as the platform handles multiple

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer with production systems at scale.
• Proven experience building payments or money-movement systems with reconciliation.
• Strong experience using LLMs and AI tooling to ship features.
• Ownership of major systems from architecture through production.

Responsibilities

• Own money-movement workflows end to end, from tax obligation to ledger.
• Own the banking integrations, fee charges, and transaction ledger that keep every movement of money accounted.
• Design and evolve automated payment integrations with tax authority portals with reliability and observability.
• Drive support for new payment types and tax authorities with repeatable patterns, not one-off builds.
• Treat idempotency, reconciliation, and exact accounting as first-class design constraints.
