Job summary

Remitian, a fintech building tax payment and compliance infrastructure, is seeking a senior engineering leader for its Miami hybrid office. You will own end-to-end delivery for product lines, lead a cross-functional squad, and partner with the CEO and Product Owner to shape the roadmap.

The role emphasizes people, process, and shipping over hands-on coding. You will mentor engineers, manage contractors, review architecture, and drive customer-facing communications to ensure quality and timely

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional engineering experience, including two or more years directly managing engineers.
• Track record shipping production software in a regulated environment such as fintech, healthtech, or govtech.
• Strong technical background; you can read code, review architecture, and debug deployments.
• Experience managing both full-time engineers and external contractors.
• Excellent written communication; capable of customer-facing framing in one pass.
• Comfort operating as a peer to senior leaders without rigid silos.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery for product line(s): backlog grooming, enhancement tracking, sprint cadence, and quarterly releases with defect-free execution.
• Lead a cross-functional squad; handle 1:1s, performance, growth planning, leveling, and hiring.
• Uphold code quality through architecture reviews and high-risk PRs within your squad.
• Lead production incident response: triage, follow-ups, and post-incident reviews.
• Frame customer-facing release notes and translate internal scope for external communication.
• Collaborate on roadmap and product strategy with the Product Owner and CEO.
