Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer who acts as both a Technical Lead and Individual Contributor to help build our next-generation platform for digital health solutions. You will collaborate with architects and senior engineers to deliver scalable microservices, APIs and cloud-based components, while guiding junior developers and driving delivery excellence.

The position is full-time in the United States with a broad pay range ($106,605–$260,590) and a comprehensive benefits package;

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale distributed environments.
• 5+ years Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• 5+ years cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
• 5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
• 3+ years CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years Agile development environment.
• 2+ years Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable software solutions meeting requirements.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with senior engineers.
• Advise on performance, feasibility, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Coordinate with team members to align on technical decisions.
• Adopt new technologies and improve productivity and code quality.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, talks, and workshops.
• Collaborate to implement complex features and deliver high-quality code.
• Mentor junior developers to grow technical skills.
