Job summary

Drata is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead multiple small teams through technical roadmaps, scalable system design, and secure architectures. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to drive cross-team initiatives while mentoring engineers in a distributed environment.

You’ll work on agentic governance, continuous compliance, and real-time trust verification, shaping the next generation of compliance platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience building production systems.
• 3+ years with Node.js or React in production.
• 1+ year with NestJS (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent.
• Strong experience with OAuth, SCIM, OIDC, RBAC.
• Experience with authentication/authorization from large providers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product to shape roadmap requirements and select technologies.
• Review architecture and code for quality, scalability and security.
• Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues to resolution.
• Own and deliver cross-team projects and migration efforts.
• Mentor engineers across teams through guilds and coaching.
