Job summary

Drata is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to build and improve our internal development platform, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines. You will enable rapid, reliable product delivery by crafting scalable services and thoughtful automation.

You'll lead internal tooling initiatives, guide developers, and collaborate with Infra and Data teams to optimize data access and analytics across environments. Strong leadership and architecture skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer with a track record of complex solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a platform supporting internal development workflows from code inception to deployment.
• Lead the creation of developer tools to automate and streamline CI/CD processes for consistency across environments.
• Implement monitoring and analytics tools to provide actionable insights into app performance and pipeline efficiency.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Data Teams to enhance tooling and data access for data-driven development.
• Create architecture diagrams to guide scalable and efficient systems.
• Mentor and guide team members to foster growth and development.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Architect and develop scalable web apps and RESTful APIs.
• Build tools, services, and automation to enhance platform capabilities.
• Evaluate performance, durability, and security of production apps.
• Contribute to server-side code and database architecture using NodeJS and NestJS.
• Contribute to client-side code using React.
• Ensure best practices through code reviews and coaching.
• Adapt quickly to evolving business needs and contexts seamlessly.
