Job summary

Walmart is seeking a software engineer to join the Edge Solutions Engineering team to support GraphQL and traffic throttling initiatives for the holiday season. This is a mix of support and debugging help for internal Walmart developers, and building tooling to make these products easier to support.

The team is remote with global distribution, emphasizing safety, impact, ownership, and learning. You will develop tooling, guide customer deployments, and help scale Traffic Foundation products.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional software development experience.
• Deep understanding of networking, HTTP, and web architecture.
• Experience with cloud architecture and scalable web applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective remote work experience and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of tooling for ESE and customers, including design, architecture, coding, and reviews.
• Meet with customers to guide deployment of Traffic Foundation products.
• Handle high-level debugging and support tickets escalated to ESE.
• Create training and share feedback to influence product direction.
• Respond to and resolve production incidents related to our products.
