Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Traffic Foundation within the Global Technology Platform group. The role focuses on designing and building high-performance, distributed systems to serve millions of requests per second, spanning E-Commerce, Stores, and more.

You will lead medium to large cross-functional projects, mentor teams including offshore staff, and drive innovation and best practices across the organization. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field is required.
• Master’s degree is a plus for preferred qualifications.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance distributed systems at scale.
• Lead and participate in medium to large cross-functional projects.
• Dissect complex problems and deliver well-engineered solutions.
• Guide and mentor cross-functional engineering teams, including offshore members.
