ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Data Platform organization. You will design, build, and operate cloud-native platform components, leading projects and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure architecture alignment.

The role is hands-on, focusing on operators, controllers and platform services, with mentoring of junior engineers. The position offers hybrid work with offices nationwide, competitive compensation, equity considerations, and a broad benefits

Qualificações

• Experience integrating AI into engineering work (AI-powered coding/automation)
• 12+ years of software development with a Bachelor's, or 8+ with a Master's, or 5+ with a PhD
• 5+ years building, deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes
• Experience with major hyperscalers (AWS/Azure/GCP) and core compute, networking, IAM
• Track record delivering complex features as a key contributor
• Solid knowledge of containers, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code
• Strong programming skills in Go (or similar systems language)

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate components within the cloud-native platform from design to production
• Lead well-scoped projects and translate requirements into technical designs
• Collaborate with senior engineers to align with platform architecture and standards
• Contribute to reliability, scalability, and operability with tests, runbooks, and on-call
• Spend most time hands-on building operators, controllers, automation, and platform services
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing
