Job summary

Huntress is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive the technical vision and architecture of the Core Platform. You will remain hands-on while serving as the technical anchor for your team, solving complex scaling challenges and enabling faster, more secure product development.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with the Engineering Manager to steer technical direction, and own cross-team dependencies while shaping the architecture for future growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Ruby on Rails experience required.
• Strong AWS/Linux/database scaling experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and mentor on complex features of the core platform.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager to set technical direction.
• Own cross-team dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
• Drive ADR process for major architectural decisions.
• Oversee full system lifecycle, configuration and risk management.
• Mentor engineers and promote collaboration.
