Job summary

Huntress is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive the technical vision for the Core Platform. You will design, implement, and mentor on complex features across APIs, onboarding, authentication, and integrations, while balancing architectural decisions and long-term scalability.

You will partner with the Engineering Manager and lead cross-team initiatives to reduce dependencies and accelerate secure delivery, shaping the platform as Huntress grows its endpoint protection offering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building complex software products.
• 5+ years of Ruby on Rails, preferably with large monoliths.
• Strong architectural experience including ADRs and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and mentor engineers on the most complex features.
• Steer the team’s technical direction with the Engineering Manager.
• Own cross‑team dependencies to eliminate roadblocks and ensure delivery.
• Drive ADRs for major technical changes impacting the codebase.
