Job summary

LinkedIn is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Compute Infrastructure team, based in a hybrid setup. You will help design and evolve a private cloud‑style platform powering real-time services, analytics pipelines, and AI/ML at scale.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes‑centric operations, multi‑cluster management, and fleet health across a platform used by many engineering teams. You will mentor engineers, drive reliability improvements, and tackle cross‑cutting issues in OS behavior,

Qualifications

Experience designing distributed systems, backend services, or large-scale platforms.
Hands-on development with Go or Python.
Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.

Responsibilities

Enable thousands of LinkedIn engineering teams to deploy and operate reliably across CI/CD, workload orchestration, and scalable GPU AI/ML infrastructure.
Improve platform observability, deployment safety, and release throughput.
Shape technical direction across teams to meet product and AI workload needs.
Mentor engineers to raise technical bar and foster engineering excellence.
Resolve deep production issues spanning Kubernetes internals and distributed systems.
