CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of robust digital solutions, architect scalable software systems, and drive high-quality implementation for myPBM Clinical products.

The role supports a hybrid schedule from our Buffalo Grove, IL or Richardson, TX offices, with collaboration across disciplines and mentorship to junior engineers. Strong backend Java, Angular, and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

7+ years of enterprise full stack development experience with backend emphasis.
3+ years experience with End-to-End CI/CD (GitHub, GitHub Actions, artifact management such as JFrog).
2+ years experience partnering with architecture, product, and program management to influence decisions.
3+ years experience with Java backend technologies.
2+ years experience with Kafka or similar streaming tech.
2+ years experience with Oracle.
2+ years experience with Angular.
3+ years experience with Azure and Kubernetes.
3+ years experience leading teams in Scrum/Agile environments.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of robust digital solutions and architect scalable software systems.
Drive high-quality implementation and contribute to technical strategy for myPBM Clinical products.
Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, and cross-functional teams on solution design.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Provide mentorship to junior developers and grow technical talent.
Contribute to adoption of new technologies and improvements to productivity and code quality.
