Job summary

HCVT seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead application engineering on a new Azure cloud platform, modernizing legacy apps while setting technical direction and reusable patterns. You will collaborate with security, IT, and network teams to deliver scalable, secure services in a hybrid work model.

You will own data design, authentication strategies, and integration patterns, guiding a team through from greenfield development to modernization of on-premises workloads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating production applications with ownership.
• Experience architecting multi-tenant applications with data isolation.
• Modern cloud experience using Azure and related services.
• Full-stack capability across backend and frontend components.

Responsibilities

• Own target-state architecture for a new Azure-based platform.
• Set patterns, enforce reusable APIs, and guide team adoption.
• Lead security design including authentication and authorization.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality and security gates.
• Lead data design, migration, and reconciliation for tax context.
• Mentor engineers and document architecture decisions.
