Job summary

NinjaOne in the United States is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape technical direction across multiple product teams. You will own large-scale initiatives and drive architectural decisions for scalable, reliable cloud services.

Ideal candidate has 12+ years in Java, 5+ in scalable systems, strong REST API design, Spring/Jersey, and experience mentoring engineers. This role offers hybrid remote work and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Java software development for product applications.
• 5+ years designing and operating highly scalable systems.
• Proven experience solving complex system design challenges at scale.
• API design and RESTful services with Spring (Spring Boot) or Jersey.
• Strong OOP design principles and practices.
• Relational database design and development.
• Kotlin experience is a plus.
• Redis caching experience is a plus.
• Strong focus on quality testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Architecture: influence critical architectural decisions and oversee complex solutions.
• Autonomous Decision-Making: high independence to make high-impact technical choices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with product, infra, and engineering teams.
