NinjaOne seeks a Staff Software Engineer to shape the technical direction across multiple product teams. You will own large-scale initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive best practices while delivering high‑availability software for millions of endpoints and servers.

This role emphasizes architectural leadership, independent decision making, and collaboration with product, infra, and engineering teams to ensure scalable, maintainable systems aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications.
• 5+ years designing and operating highly scalable systems.
• Proven experience solving complex system design challenges at scale.
• Expertise in API design and RESTful services (Spring/Spring Boot or Jersey).
• Strong OOP design principles and relational database skills.
• 2+ years of Kotlin is a plus; Redis experience is beneficial.
• Experience with quality testing practices and delivering high-quality software.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IT or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Influence critical architectural decisions and oversee complex solutions.
• Provide autonomous, high-impact technical choices with minimal oversight.
• Partner with product, infra, and engineering teams to align on decisions.
• Mentor engineers and establish technical standards across teams.
• Own large-scale multi-team initiatives and drive resolutions.
• Advocate for quality and high-performance software delivery.
• Perform other duties as needed.
