NinjaOne is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape technical direction, own large-scale initiatives, and drive architectural excellence. You will mentor teams, set engineering standards, and deliver highly available services across global endpoints.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in Java, strong system design experience, and deep API expertise in a hybrid remote setting within the US. The role offers growth and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Java software development experience.
• 5+ years designing and operating highly scalable systems.
• Proven experience solving large-scale system design challenges.
• Expertise in API design and RESTful services (Spring Boot or Jersey).
• Strong OOP design principles and relational database design.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, IT, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Architecture: Influence critical architectural decisions and oversee implementation of complex technical solutions.
• Autonomous Decision-Making: Operate with independence, trusted to make high-impact technical choices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
• Mentorship & Standards: Mentor engineers and establish technical standards.
• Ownership of Large-Scale Initiatives: Own multi-team technical initiatives and drive resolutions.
• Quality Advocacy: Champion QA practices for robust, high-performance software.
