Job summary

Storm2 is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape how institutions manage and access private market investment data. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver enterprise-grade backend systems for a fast-growing fintech SaaS platform.

You will collaborate with product, design, data, and engineering teams to drive scalable, secure, and observable services, while guiding a culture of engineering excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building and scaling modern SaaS, fintech, or enterprise software platforms.
• Experience designing systems that prioritise performance, resilience, security, and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of large-scale technical initiatives spanning multiple teams and product areas.
• Architect and build scalable backend services, distributed systems, and platform capabilities.
• Drive technical strategy and influence engineering direction across the organisation.
• Partner with product, design, data, and engineering stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Evaluate architectural trade-offs focusing on scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
• Mentor engineers through technical leadership and code reviews.
