Job summary

Storm2 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI, full-stack development with TypeScript, based in Chicago. You'll own end-to-end product features and help build an AI-powered SaaS platform for payments and business management.

The role reports to the CTO and requires a willingness to work in a hybrid setup (3 days/week in Chicago). With 5+ years in software engineering and strong AI/ML experience, you will influence product direction, collaborate with a sociable team, and help disrupt

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering in a full-stack role.
Strong experience with TypeScript.
AI or ML experience (or a Maths background).
Experience at an early-stage startup.
Experience with payments and accounting tech is strongly preferred.
Actively using AI tools to work quicker and experience integrating AI into product workflows.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excited to gain ownership over a product and have a strong impact on the company.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, focused on rapid growth and adaptability to change.

Responsibilities

Build, design and develop new products and features from the ground up.
Bring AI agents to market and own projects such as pricing recommendations.
Collaborate within the engineering team to produce and deliver the right solutions.
Have a user-centric mindset, looking for constant feedback from clients and reflecting that into the products.
Make daily business-minded decisions, impacting the architecture and integrations to improve delivery and functionality.
Constantly optimize a fast-moving process that will consistently be iterated and developed.
