Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Customer Administration to lead architectural decisions and deliver critical platform capabilities. 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in production systems.
Experience leading large, cross-team initiatives and writing high-quality code.
Strong cloud-native backend stack, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Architect and deliver foundational platform capabilities for Control Center and MCP integration.
Evolve Control Center into AI-agent-ready platform with guardrails and HITL workflows.
Define architectural roadmaps, review designs, and mentor engineers across teams.
Build and maintain highly reliable, secure distributed backend services with SLOs.
Collaborate with CAE, Product, and Security teams to deliver platform primitives.
