Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to act as both Technical Lead and Individual Contributor. You will help build the next-generation platform for use cases and products focused on healthier lives, including proof-of-concepts and delivery excellence across a team of engineers.

You will design scalable solutions, review code, and collaborate with business IT leaders to enhance digital assets, drive RCA, and improve system performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale distributed environments.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
• 5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and cost‑effective APIs.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years in an Agile development environment.
• 2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Provide input on feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability to meet objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Communicate with the team to ensure alignment and share technical insights.
