CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer who will lead and contribute as both a technical lead and individual contributor to build our next-generation platform, driving use cases into products that help people live healthier lives.

This role emphasizes solution design, architecture collaboration, and delivering scalable microservices, with a focus on AI, cloud initiatives, and code quality across a fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise solution delivery in large-scale distributed environments.
• 5+ years Java development experience.
• 5+ years hands-on enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing.
• 5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
• 3+ years experience with CI/CD Pipeline automation.
• 3+ years in Agile-based development.
• 2+ years of AI (Gen AI) experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions that meet requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Provide input on feasibility, performance, and scalability to meet objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and quality guidelines.
• Coordinate with team members to align on decisions and share technical insights.
• Adopt best practices and new technologies to boost productivity and code quality.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, tech talks, and workshops.
• Collaborate with developers to implement features and deliver high-quality code.
• Mentor junior developers to grow technical skills.
