CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead and contribute as an individual contributor while building our next-generation digital platform. You will help drive delivery of use cases into products focused on healthier lives and create proofs of concept to address customer challenges.

The role requires designing scalable solutions, contributing to architecture, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in a large-scale distributed software design environment.
• 5+ years of Java development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
• 5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
• 3+ years of experience working on CI/CD Pipeline automation.
• 3+ years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment.
• 2+ years of Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability to ensure objectives are met.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure alignment and share technical insights for decision-making.
• Adopt best practices and new technologies to boost productivity and code quality.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, tech talks, and workshops to foster collaboration.
• Collaborate with other developers to implement complex features and deliver high-quality code.
• Mentor junior developers to grow their skills and professional development.
