CVS Health Digital seeks a Staff Software Development Engineer who will serve as both Technical Lead and Individual Contributor to build our next-generation platform and promote the delivery of use cases into products focused on healthier lives. This role creates proofs of concept, drives delivery excellence, and partners with business and IT leaders to enhance the digital ecosystem.

The engineer will design scalable solutions, participate in architecture discussions, and guide code reviews

Qualifications

7+ years of experience delivering enterprise software in large-scale distributed environments.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and APIs.
3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
3+ years in an Agile development environment.
2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable software solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on performance optimization and scalability to meet objectives.
Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate across teams to align on delivery and technical direction.
Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing.
