Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the VMware operations team in the US. You will architect, design, and deliver advanced management features for private cloud environments, with emphasis on scalable, observable, and reliable software across multi-agent systems.

You will work in an agile, fast-paced setting, mentor peers, and drive end-to-end delivery of high-quality product features. A strong background in Java, Spring, and backend systems is required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years (MS) or 12+ years (BS) experience.
• Proficient in AI-driven development life cycle and spec-driven methodologies.
• Experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade multi-agent architectures.

Responsibilities

• Research & evaluate new technologies for feature delivery.
• Participate in architectural design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with distributed teams for product development.
• Guide and mentor engineers on tech, design, and coding practices.
• Work in Agile environment and rapidly prototype ideas into enterprise capabilities.
