Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the ESXi OS Services team. Lead design and delivery of high‑impact functionality across User Space OS services, container services, distributed control planes, and app infrastructure.

You will collaborate with Product Management and cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, delivering robust, scalable OS and Kubernetes platform features on a regular release cadence.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or similar fields.
• 3+ years of relevant experience for BS; 0+ for MS and PhD.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, Golang, and Python.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix internals, especially user space concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced OS techniques for managing virtual systems on x86.
• Architect and develop scalable container services and Kubernetes platform capabilities with ESXi and vSphere integration.
• Develop highly available platform infrastructure for customer workloads across clusters and zones.
