Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to design, develop and implement digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications. You will lead cross-functional teams, conduct system testing, and drive innovation across digital engineering projects, leveraging cloud technologies and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development in enterprise/web applications.
5+ years of experience with React, TypeScript/JS, Python or Node.js.
5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
3+ years as full-stack developer with Java-based tech (microservices, FAST API, Spring Boot/REST).
3+ years in Agile development practices.
3+ years applying AI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q).

Responsibilities

Define and communicate long-term application development strategy.
Manage development team’s day-to-day work with collaboration and timely delivery.
Analyze industry trends and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
Allocate resources and prioritize projects with sound decision-making and governance.
Collaborate with senior management to understand application needs and ensure solutions meet requirements.
Communicate with partners, vendors, and clients to align development efforts with business objectives.
Review and approve project deliverables ensuring alignment with technology strategy.
