Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to serve as both technical lead and individual contributor. You will help build the next-generation platform, drive delivery of use cases into products, and create Proofs of Concept to address customer challenges.

You will collaborate with architecture and senior engineers, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers to grow technical skills within a high-energy team focused on digital innovation in health care.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale environments.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of cloud initiatives and cloud computing experience.
5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
3+ years working in an Agile-based development environment.
2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Communicate with team members to align on decisions and technical insights.
Adopt best practices and new technologies to boost productivity and code quality.
