Job summary

UKG is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead agentic AI initiatives, scale agentic capabilities on Google's ADK and enterprise platforms. You will drive technical strategy for agent-powered features, mentor engineers, and deliver complex, scalable agentic systems across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with 2+ years building agentic AI systems or LLM-powered applications in production.
• Deep expertise in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building production agents using Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Agent Development: Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents using Google ADK and other agentic platforms.
• Platform Integration: Build agents that integrate with enterprise systems through tools, APIs, and MCP servers.
• Technical Strategy: Drive the technical strategy for agentic AI initiatives and projects.
• Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver agent-powered projects.
• Architectural Excellence: Architect complex agentic systems with high performance and reliability.
• Service Health and Quality: Ensure health and quality of agent-powered services with telemetry and monitoring.
• Agent Operations: Oversee deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of agents.
• Engineering Excellence: Promote best practices and robust testing for agentic systems.
• Testing: Build testable agents and automation tests for various scenarios.
• Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship on agent development.
• Innovation: Stay current with agentic AI technologies and platforms.
