Job summary

UKG seeks a Software Engineer III for its Agentic Acceleration Group to design, build, and scale agentic AI capabilities on Google ADK and related platforms. You will own end-to-end agent development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment, collaborating with product, architecture, and engineering teams.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, implement tools, and drive observability, performance, and reliability across agent-powered services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience, with hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications or agentic AI systems.
• Deep expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with platforms such as Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks.
• Understanding of agent orchestration, tool-use architectures, prompt/context engineering, and multi-agent patterns.
• Experience integrating software with enterprise systems via APIs, tools, and protocols such as REST APIs, MCP, and function calling.
• Proficiency with cloud tech (GCP, Azure, AWS) and Git.
• Strong problem-solving and observability skills.

Responsibilities

• Agent Development: Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade AI agents using Google ADK and other platforms.
• Platform Integration: Build agents that interface with enterprise systems via APIs and MCP servers.
• Feature and Project Delivery: Own execution and timely delivery of agent-powered features and projects.
• Technical Design: Contribute to architecture and design reviews for scalable agentic systems.
• Code Review and Engineering Practices: Review code and uphold high standards, testing, and observability.
• Service Health and Quality: Monitor agent services, analyze telemetry, and drive improvements.
• Agent Operations: Manage deployment, versioning, cost, and performance optimization.
• Testing and Evaluation: Develop testable agents and automate testing strategies.
• DevOps Model: Own lifecycle from requirements to production maintenance.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document features and practices for team use.
• Mentorship and Collaboration: Guide junior engineers on agent development and tooling.
• Innovation: Stay current with agentic AI tech and evaluate new capabilities.
