Job summary

UKG is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer to define and drive their enterprise agentic AI strategy across Google ADK and related platforms.

You will shape the future of intelligent automation within UKG's HCM ecosystem and influence roadmaps through technical leadership. You will architect scalable agent systems, establish safety and governance, and mentor senior engineers while collaborating with partners like Google and Anthropic.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software development experience.
3+ years building agentic AI systems or LLM-powered apps in production at scale.
Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Experience architecting production agents using Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph.
Expertise in prompt engineering, context engineering, and advanced agent design patterns (ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, constitutional AI).
Ability to influence technical direction across teams and drive architectural standards.

Responsibilities

Define enterprise-wide technical strategy for agentic AI across UKG.
Architect organization-wide agentic AI capabilities on Google ADK and other platforms.
Drive cross-team alignment on agent development standards and safety practices.
Lead complex cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.
Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the organization.
Represent UKG externally as a technical expert and build strategic partnerships.
