Job summary

Believe is seeking a Staff AI Engineer in Core Engineering to design and build the systems behind intelligent automation, agentic workflows, and large-scale retrieval. You will develop services used across engineering, product, data and business units in roughly 50 countries, focusing on reliability, security, cost and observability.

This hands-on role emphasizes production-grade code, architectural leadership, and guiding multiple teams toward scalable, safe AI-enabled features.

Qualifications

• Production-grade coding experience in AI/ML systems.
• Experience with distributed data systems and observability.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise agentic framework for orchestration, retrieval and tool integration.
• Write production-grade code across services, experimentation harnesses, and internal tooling.
• Make AI systems measurable with eval suites, guardrails, and telemetry on latency and costs.
• Set security standards and collaborate on API design and platform governance.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across teams.
• Guide multiple teams toward iterative development and autonomous decision-making.
