Job summary

Commure is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to own the accounts and ledgering spine of our RCM platform. You’ll shape an immutable, event-driven money path, where each charge, payment, adjustment, and refund is derived from history and reported transparently.

You will design, implement, and scale the posting and reconciliation engines, ensure balance consistency, and mentor senior engineers while collaborating with security and product teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with staff-level ownership.
• Backend focus with Python and scalable relational databases.
• Experience designing or operating financial systems (billing, ledgers, reconciliation).
• Strong observability, incident response, and reliability practices.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design next-generation account and ledger model with immutable events.
• Ensure balances and reports stay in sync with drift detection.
• Reconcile billed charges, remittances, bank deposits, and reports.
• Build scalable, idempotent posting and adjustment pipelines.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineers.
• Partner with security and compliance to protect data.
