Job summary

Commure in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the financial core of our revenue cycle product. You will manage 6 to 8 engineers, own the roadmap with your product partner, and be accountable for financial correctness across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing software engineers, including senior and staff-level ICs.
• Shipped financial, reporting, or data-intensive systems in production where numbers must tie.
• Backend and data fluency; review query plans, ledger design, parity failures.
• Set direction for a product surface and articulate 12-month vision.
• Comfortable discussing numbers with CFOs and senior financial leaders.
• Operational discipline: on-call, SLOs, monitoring for correctness and availability.
• Able to move fast on incomplete information and reset timelines when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of 6 to 8 engineers, handling hiring, performance, and career growth.
• Set the roadmap with the product partner; enable customers to build their own reports and close books independently.
• Own financial correctness; maintain systems for shadow parity, cross-report checks, drift monitoring, and correctness SLOs.
• Lead multi-quarter migrations (ledger to OLAP) with parity checks and no disruption to close processes.
• Own customer relationships at the top of the stack; interface with comptrollers and CFOs at large sites.
• Coordinate with payments/posting, data infrastructure, and ops to prevent upstream/downstream number breaks.
