Job summary

Commure is building the AI Operating System for healthcare, and we are hiring a Staff Software Engineer to own the account and ledgering spine of our RCM platform. You will shape an event-driven model where charges, payments, and adjustments flow through immutable records.

You'll lead the design of a scalable, auditable money path, ensure consistence across postings and reports, and mentor other engineers while delivering production-grade, secure financial software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with Staff-level ownership and mentoring.
• Strong backend (Python) and large-scale relational DB experience with ACID transactions.
• Experience with financial systems, payments, billing, reconciliation, or ledgers.
• Production systems with observability and incident response.
• Excellent communication and collaboration, especially with ops and customers.

Responsibilities

• Design next-generation account and ledger model with immutable events.
• Keep balances and reports in lockstep and implement drift detection.
• Reconcile billed charges, remittances, bank deposits and reports.
• Scale idempotent posting and adjustment pipelines for high transaction volume.
• Operate money-critical systems on large Postgres tables with safe migrations.
• Set observability and production readiness, including SLOs and dashboards.
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to protect data and stay compliant.
• Own end-to-end complex cross-system initiatives.
• Make pragmatic security, correctness, reliability, performance calls.
• Mentor engineers and perform architecture reviews.
• Take ownership in a fast-moving environment and fix root causes.
