CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Architect to lead the architecture vision for the Clinical Insights Engine platform. This senior individual contributor role shapes enterprise-wide engineering strategy and guides scalable, compliant data systems powering clinical AI models and analytics.

You will drive architecture across GCP and Azure, mentor engineers, and partner with clinical stakeholders to align technical decisions with patient care outcomes, all while ensuring security, governance,

Competenze

8+ years of experience in software or data architecture
5+ years designing enterprise-scale cloud systems in production healthcare or regulated environments
Deep expertise in cloud-native services for CIE stack (GCP/Azure)
Experience architecting clinical AI/ML platforms including feature stores and MLOps tooling
Strong distributed systems design (event streaming, API gateways, fault tolerance)
Experience defining multi-year platform roadmaps across large programs
Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI handling and enterprise security frameworks
Experience working in SAFe Agile environments

Drive architecture vision and roadmap for the Clinical Insights Engine platform across GCP and Azure
Serve as technical authority for system design and governance across squads
Lead scalable, cost-optimized platforms for clinical AI/ML workloads
Define ML architecture patterns including feature stores, model serving, and experiment tracking
Lead LLM-integrated systems with prompt engineering and RAG pipelines
Define enterprise standards and reference architectures across CVS Health engineering
Partner with portfolio leads to align architecture with clinical outcomes and business strategy
Represent CIE in enterprise architecture forums and data governance councils
Champion best practices in event-driven design, API-first development and data quality
Mentor senior engineers and ensure HIPAA/compliance across platforms
