Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, emerging AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences while shaping the technical roadmap and mentoring teams.

You will design dashboards, build microservices, drive DevOps, integrate AI-driven features, and maintain operational excellence across the stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in full‑stack development and scalable applications.
• Frontend: modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Backend: server-side languages, scalable microservices, event-driven architectures.
• Data: relational and NoSQL databases, data feeds integration.
• AI: integrating AI models/APIs and AI orchestration frameworks.
• DevOps: cloud, CI/CD, containers, IaC; SRE practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable web applications (frontend to backend).
• Architect and implement rich dashboards and data surfaces for insights.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and data integration layers with external systems.
• Champion AI-enabled features to automate workflows and enrich product capabilities.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and IaC for high availability and fast releases.
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and shape the technical roadmap.
