Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications, bridging backend data systems, AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences.

In this hands-on technical leadership role you will design scalable web apps, dashboards, and resilient microservices, champion DevOps, and embed AI features to automate workflows and deliver intelligent insights across payer operations. You will mentor teams and shape the technical roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with a focus on full-stack, architecture and scalable apps.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and data viz libraries.
• Deep experience with microservices, APIs and data integration across systems.
• Hands-on AI model integration and AI tooling into products.
• Cloud expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP) with CI/CD and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web applications.
• Architect dashboards and interfaces that surface complex data insights.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and data integration layers.
• Champion AI enablement across products and workflows.
• Drive DevOps, cloud infra, CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices.
• Mentor engineers, define standards, and shape the technical roadmap.
• Navigate ambiguity and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions.
